Real Madrid dropped points once again this season, after they were held to a 0-0 draw at San Mames by Athletic Bilbao on Saturday which also saw Sergio Ramos get sent off.
As things stand, Los Blancos are still 8 points behind arch rivals Barcelona after having a glorious opportunity to close the gap. Despite having the lion’s share of the possession throughout the game and taking far more shots, both teams had to share a point.
This result will undoubtedly come as a huge boost for Jose Angel Ziganda’s side, but it seems like it’s back to the drawing board for Zinedine Zidane’s men. And, some fans believe that it is only a matter of time before Zidane’s time as manager of Real Madrid comes to an end this season.
Madrid journalist:
“When the ball arrives at Messi’s feet, you think Barca can win. When it arrives at Cristiano or Benzema’s feet you know nothing will happen. That’s the sad reality of Real Madrid, it has to be said!!!” https://t.co/fncCVG4qsa

Zinedine Zidane’s successful time as Real Madrid’s manager is surely winding down. They simply aren’t good enough. ⌛️

I was alive when Zidane waited 82 minutes before making his first substitution against Athletic Club

Ok so now that Zidane getting sacked is a formality, who should we hire? and why?
— Abdul (@abdulelakrat) December 2, 2017
We need a lot of new signings and yes a new manager!! you’re fooling yourself if you don’t see that Zidane is finished already as a manager..

Zidane after the game: Benzema is the best striker in the world. We don’t need new players because Benzema can do everything. Benzema is really an extraordinary player. I would die for Benzema. Benzema marry me.

Maybe! Just Maybe Zidane needs to go. We thank you for the success and records but if you can’t get the same 11 you used to win the UCL final to win against bilbao then it’s all your fault.

Zidane helped Madrid win 3 CLs in 4 years, one bad start to a season and he’s unbearable now. Very fragile fan base.

Zidane hasn’t progressed the team and in turn it has become stale. The image of Real Madrid is a placid one. RM of last season wins tonight in 85th-90th minute. That aura is gone – a new one hasn’t been found.

So, here I say what I have to. Zidane is clueless, none of the Champions Leagues, or La Liga was thanks to him. Surprisingly, he started using 4-4-2 and it somehow had success last season, but it was thanks to the players and the desire they had last season.

Sergio Ramos was not spared by the fans either, after he picked up yet another red card which sees him get suspended for next week’s crunch match against Sevilla.
Sergio Ramos now has the most red cards in La Liga history! pic.twitter.com/y2UFSK5zCe

Sergio Ramos “Red card? I’d like to apologize to the fans… The way Aduriz was making me spin and slip reminded me of Messi and I couldn’t control myself, so I elbowed him in the face.” pic.twitter.com/IgpibZdU3s

Sergio Ramos has to be one of the most overrated defenders ever. People only rate him really high because he scores late goals.
— Barca World (@BarcelonaFCHome) December 2, 2017
It’s 2017 and people still consider Ramos’s foolishness as bravery.
— Ahmed (@FutbolArtista) December 2, 2017
Ramos is just one silly fella whose late minute goals have covered how atrocious and reckless he has consistently been during the course of his career
— EGGHEAD (@ehiscombs) December 2, 2017
Also there’s something seriously wrong with Ramos mentally. How can you get sent off for doing the same thing twice? At your age and with the experience you got?
