Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee of around £10 million with the recently relegated Hull City for the transfer of Scottish international Andrew Robertson.
According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have struck an agreement with Hull City that involves the transfer of Andrew Robertson. The Scottish full-back is now reportedly set to head towards Anfield after the Reds came to an agreement with Hull – a deal that involves a £10 million fee for his services.
Robertson progressed through the ranks at the Queens Park academy setup before joining Dundee United in a free transfer in 2013. The player was quickly snapped up by Hull City a year later after impressive performances for the Scottish side. And at Hull, he has firmly established himself as one of the most enticing British full-back prospects.
Hull City may have faced doom in their return to the Premier League last season. But, the 23-year-old impressed with his displays – the player missed or sat out just 5 Premier League games of the Tigers’ league campaign and looked assured at the back while being as equally impactful going forward.

And, as the new season draws nearer, there have been multiple sources linking the Scottish player to a return to the top-flight, albeit to Anfield, with Liverpool in dire need of reinforcements at full-back.
Klopp may want to reinstate James Milner’s role in the midfield and even if the veteran continues as full-back, there is a lack of depth in the area – something the club is keen to correct. Alberto Moreno has failed to impress enough and while the Reds have rejected a bid from Napoli, the reason touted is the want of a higher fee and not the retainment of the Spaniard.
Liverpool were linked to other ‘bargain’ full-backs as well, with Josh Tymon and Jordan Amavi also being considered as potential additions. However, Josh Tymon ended up moving to Stoke and Amavi was close to moving to Sevilla before the player failed his medical.

Robertson, though, could become one of the best deals of the current window if it does happen. The 23-year-old has already had a taste of Premier League football and, under Klopp, the player could really revel. At £10 million, Robertson could represent massive value for money, with Andrew having the best of years ahead of him.
