Arsenal failed to finish inside the top four for the first time during Arsene Wenger’s reign on Sunday night despite overcoming an early sending off for Laurent Koscielny to beat Everton 3-1 at the Emirates.
The Gunners took the lead through Hector Bellerin before Koscielny was sent off for a dangerous, ill-timed tackle on Enner Valencia. However, the Gunners were still able to double their lead through Alexis Sanchez after some good work from Danny Welbeck.
Romelu Lukaku pulled one back from the penalty spot before Aaron Ramsey wrapped things up with a goal at the death. Despite the victory, Arsenal will finish the season in fifth position after Liverpool and Manchester City both won their respective games and Twitter had its say.
