Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly ready to go on the offensive to snap up 14-year-old Leicester City prodigy Terell Pennant.
The Sun are reporting that Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in 14-year-old English prodigy Terell Pennant. The Leicester City wonderkid is on the radar of the duo, who are both ready to go on the offensive in the battle to snap up the highly-rated attacker.
With the ability to play on either flank as well as through the middle, the player has been likened to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, for the similarity in positional awareness and skill-set. Despite being just 14, the player is a regular and a star of the Foxes’ Under-16 side, producing stellar displays for them on a regular basis.
The latest of his performances came on Saturday, wherein he bagged a brace for himself against Southampton. The Arsenal scouts were in attendance, as per the report, and they would have most likely sent back glittering reports of the prodigious talent.

As per the report, an offer from Arsenal is likely in the pipeline, which is likely to based on various performance based incentives and milestones like first-team appearances, goals and senior caps for the national side.
But, Arsenal do face competition in the form of Manchester United. The Red Devils have been rampant in the recruitment of players in and around the age level as Terell and the 14-year-old could be the next one in line to join the likes of Tahith Chong, Nishan Burkart and others at the United academy.
The Foxes are desperate to hold onto the player, who is regarded as one of the brightest young players in England around his age level. But, they are more or less resigned to losing the player, with his deal set to expire at the end of the current season.
Manchester United and Arsenal could both be embroiled in a transfer scuffle for the youngster. Big things are expected of Terell and he could be on his way to either of the aforementioned – both of whom are considered as one of the best clubs not only in England but also in the whole spectrum of the footballing world.
