Real Madrid have reportedly beaten Barcelona to the signature of prodigious Real Betis forward David Pecellin Garcia.
Spanish publication Marca have claimed that Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona to the signature of Real Betis wonderkid David Pecellin Garcia. The player has been reported to be continuously courted by both Barcelona and Real Madrid. But it seems Los Blancos have beaten their arch-rivals in the pursuit of the striker.
David Pecellin Garcia is regarded as one of the most prodigious talents to emerge, not only from Real Betis’ academy, but also in the whole nation in a long time. The young talent, who is also known as Pece, is hailed as one of the best Under-13 talents in the current national system.

The striker has electrifying pace to go with his finishing prowess and natural predator instinct, which makes him a complete striking force.
Besides notching up outrageous figures – 93 goals and 114 goals from 29 and 33 games in the Juveline third division and the second division respectively – the player was the talk of the recently concluded La Liga Promises tournament, where he scored an amazing goal against Borussia Dortmund.
Barcelona and Real Madrid were both rumoured to be heavily invested in the pursuit of Pece but as per reports coming out from Spain, Real Madrid have pipped their rivals, something Los Blancos would be very happy with, especially after the recent defeats in transfer pursuits to the Catalans.
The report does say that the transfer is all but done. Only minor details are left to be ironed out, which when complete, would enable the player to move to Real Madrid and join the current La Liga leader’s La Fabrica academy next season.
The player’s figures over the last couple of seasons does indicate that the Under-13 prodigy is getting better with training and age. And with world-class facilities to be at his disposal at his new club, one can only speculate how big a name the player can make for himself in the years to come.
While Real Betis would be gutted to lose such a prospect, Real Madrid would be delighted with the capture of a player who has the potential to become one of the world’s best.
