Lionel Messi returned from his injury for Barcelona in their La Liga game against Deportivo, and the Argentine wizard promptly found the net within three minutes of stepping out onto the pitch.
A groin injury had kept Messi out of action for three weeks. It was a tough period for Barcelona as they had to make do without their talisman, defeating Sporting Gijon but losing the next week to Celta Vigo.
The main man was back for the game against Deportivo on Sunday. After a brace from Rafinha and a goal by Neymar, Messi applied the finishing touch to Barca’s game. A no-look pass from Neymar was smashed into the top of the net, and the Argentine magician announced his return in style.
