According to Spanish Publication SPORT, Barcelona have been pursuing the youngster since the last season, and over the course of this season, their interest has grown. Swedish outlet Aftonbladet report that the youngster was being monitored by scouts from Real Madrid. The youngster has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Premier League champions Leicester City.
The youngster has also been linked with a move to Bayern after it was reported that Michael Reschke, who is the technical director of the club, is interested in the player. According to 90min, Reschke was responsible for bringing in young talents like Kingsley Coman and Renato Sanches to the club and has now set his sights on the 6 ft 3 inch striker.
On being asked about the interest from Europe’s top clubs, the youngster said, “I do not have much to say. I did not know about it [the interest], but it’s pretty fun. I guess people follow me even if they are not from here.” He has impressed his team-mate Chinedu Obasi so much that it led to the Nigerian comparing him to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He reportedly told Fotbollskanalen, “I do not want to say too much, but I think he has much potential. If he has the drive and continues, I think he can become Sweden’s next (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic . He has the potential, everyone can see it and he proves it all the time.”
