EA have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has become the highest rated player in the soon-to-be-released FIFA 17, displacing Lionel Messi.
EA Sports confirmed, on their official website, as part of their ratings revelation for FIFA 17, that Cristiano Ronaldo has become the best-rated player in the soon-to-be-released latest iteration of the popular video game series displacing Lionel Messi, who has been sitting on the throne for a long time.
The video game developers’ twitter handle also tweeted the news with player cards showing Neymar, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as #3, 2 and 1 respectively.

It does seem justified given the recent achievements of Cristiano Ronaldo compared to Lionel Messi. Although, one could make a case for Lionel Messi in the fact that EA ratings are supposed to be based on individual performances and skill rather than competitive achievements. Twitter-verse seems fairly divided in their opinion and The Hard Tackle will let you decide which side you would prefer to be on.
