AC Milan Transfer Rumours: Diego Lopez could leave San Siro; Keita, Honda to swap clubs?

AC Milan’s Keisuke Honda might be headed to Lazio with Keita Balde heading in the opposite direction, according to latest reports.

Lazio, having failed to sign Alessio Cerci who has returned to Atletico Madrid after consecutive loan spells at AC Milan and Genoa, may turn towards Milan’s Keisuke Honda according to Calciomercato.com. Cerci instead is close to joining Bologna and playing under Roberto Donadoni after having failed to live up to expectations at the Vicente Calderon in Spain.

Keita Balde situation

The Lazio forward and winger is desperate to move out of the club and is refusing to renew his contract. The 22-year-old La Masia youth academy product has always had a problem with his temperament.

But over the course of the summer, Lazio was unable to find a suitable solution with the player’s agent. Undoubtedly, Lazio holdd the youngster in high regard as they will not be looking to let the Senegalese youngster go for a small fee.

Sports Mediaset reports that due to Lazio’s failure in trying to secure the signing of Cerci, they could instead turn to Milan’s Keisuke Honda. The 30-year-old Japanese international came to Milan riding a wave of expectation from CSKA Moscow.

Despite being a regular feature in Milan’s squad last season, his place has been usurped by Suso, who has done well since Milan loaned him to Genoa. Needless to say, Honda will also be looking for regular first team action and could force a move to Lazio as a result of that.

Diego Lopez to leave AC Milan?

The 34-year-old Spaniard, who was brought from Real Madrid, has warmed the bench for the entirety of last season as former head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic opted to play Milan’s teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma instead of the veteran. Reportedly a number of Spanish clubs along with Chelsea are after the signature of the Spaniard. Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Valencia are the latest names to have shown an interest in him, according to a report in Italian Football Daily.
