Real Madrid may have been missing Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, but two young stars in Raphael Varane and Marco Asensio paired up excellently to put Los Blancos 2-0 up against Real Sociedad in their La Liga season opener.
Real Madrid kicked off their season with a 3-0 victory over Real Sociedad, with Gareth Bale scoring a brace and Marco Asensio among the goals as well. The young academy product was fed a beautiful 50-yard long ball by centre-back Raphael Varane, which he controlled with a deft first touch and sent sailing over the Sociedad goalkeeper to put Los Blancos 2-0 up before half-time.
