Crystal Palace have signed want-away Liverpool striker Christian Benteke for an initial transfer fee believed to be in the region of £27 million, and the Anfield faithful are now clamouring for a major new signing that the club needs to make with that money.
The 25-year-old Belgian striker quickly fell out of favour with new manager Jurgen Klopp, after his predecessor Brendan Rodgers signed him from Aston Villa last summer for £32 million. Crystal Palace have now confirmed the signing of Benteke.

Liverpool fans wished Benteke all the best and were delighted with the deal. Further clauses in the deal could take the fee to a reported £32 million, which would mean that the club will recoup the money they spent on him a year ago.
Benteke to Crystal Palace has been confirmed, i’m happy with the deal, we got our money back and it’s annoying that it didn’t work out.

Happy for all the Benteke deal is final. He’s off our books and gets his move. Always tried hard, just didn’t work out. #LFC #GoodBusiness

#Benteke was just another victim of a flawed transfer system @ #LFC ! Wish him all the best at #CPFC to which I’m sure will be a success ??

The Anfield faithful are now urging the club and manager Jurgen Klopp to reinvest the Benteke money in a new left-back, a signing they consider essential to the Reds fortunes this coming season.
Fair play to FSG for standing by their selling price for Benteke. Now let’s get a decent LB in before 31st August. #LFC

When Benteke goes were in profit. If we don’t spend on a LB it’s absolutely bonkers.

@LFC thank you for selling Benteke, now please make us world beaters and sign us a LB
— Riam (@SturridgeStyle) August 20, 2016
#lfc need to invest a chunk of the #Benteke money in a good LB . There’s no time to waste .
— The Joker (@jason_r1970) August 20, 2016
After the #Benteke sale, #LFC have made a profit from the window this summer. We must splash the cash on one more! (LB preferably).
— Jad W. Breiche (@TheBreiche) August 20, 2016
Great bit of business by #LFC selling a player like #Benteke for £32M who doesn’t even make our bench… Can we just buy a LB now pls @LFC ?
— Kev Atterbury (@KevinhoLFC) August 18, 2016
Now let’s pray that we turn the #Benteke money into a LB #LFC
