Liverpool managed to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit with a superb performance at Anfield in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
Daniel Sturridge had a part to play in all the goals as Liverpool won 3-0 and will face Sevilla in the final. After hitting shot that led to an own goal in the first half, the English forward gave Liverpool the advantage when he found himself in a great scoring position in the 63rd minute and nutmegged the Villarreal goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
His scuffed shot later in the match was knocked into goal by Adam Lallana, as Liverpool and Sturridge had a European night to remember.
