Douglas Costa scored an absolute scorcher for Bayern in a routine 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga. With the win the Bavarians continued their rush towards a 4th consecutive Bundesliga title victory.
Bayern could have secured the title at Berlin had VfB Stuttgart managed to salvage a draw at home against Borussia Dortmund. However, a 3-0 result for Die Schwarzgelben means the German champions-elect need to win against Borussia Monchengladbach next week at the Allianz Arena to secure the Bundesliga title.
It was yet another comfortable outing for Pep Guardiola’s side as they took the lead in the 22nd minute when Chilean Arturo Vidal drilled home a shot past the Hertha Berlin goalkeeper after picking up a pass from Mario Gotze.
