Keen to improve their options up front, Manchester United are preparing themselves to make the big money signing of PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 34-year-old striker, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, has shown that he still has the quality to compete at the highest level. The Swede has 35 goals in all competitions this season, two of which came in PSG’s high-profile Champions League tie against Chelsea.
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United are prepared to give Ibrahimovic a contract worth around £250,000-a-week — a deal that could make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.
Juventus make Hazard their prime target
Eden Hazard continues to be linked with a move away from Chelsea in the summer despite his indifferent form this season, with Italian giants Juventus reportedly joining PSG and Real Madrid in the race for his signature.
According to a report in Tuttosport, the Blues want the on-loan Juan Cuadrado back at Stamford Bridge next season. This could prompt the Bianconeri to attempt a move for Hazard, who would add creativity to their attack.
Barcelona trying to bring Bellerin back to Camp Nou
Hector Bellerin has had a breakthrough season at Arsenal in the 2015/16 campaign and his consistent performances have attracted the attention of some top European clubs. The Arsenal right-back’s boyhood club Barcelona is reportedly among them, with the Catalans looking for a long-term successor to Dani Alves.
Barcelona have been impressed with the progress Bellerin has made at Arsenal this season, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The Barcelona-based newspaper suggests that if Alves moves away from the Nou Camp — possibly to the Chinese Super League — Bellerin is the preferred replacement.
The Arsenal youngster started his youth career at La Masia in the Catalan capital, before making the move to London in 2011.
Chelsea looking at Hummels as Terry’s replacement
Mats Hummels has been one of the best centre-backs in Germany for quite some time now, and the Borussia Dortmund captain seems to have piqued the interest of struggling Premier League giants Chelsea.
With John Terry announcing that he expects to leave the club in the summer and with young defender Kurt Zouma recovering from a long-term injury, the Blues are in dire need of reinforcement at the heart of the defence.
According to Bild, Chelsea have made unofficial contact with Hummels’s father, who also acts as his agent. The German international looks like a natural replacement for Terry, given his leadership qualities and his ability to marshal the back four.
