Arsene Wenger is bored by constant criticism from Arsenal fans and the media

Arsene Wenger has been subject to a lot of criticism in the recent past because of Arsenal’s poor run of form, but the Frenchman insists that he is focussed on his job rather than people’s opinions.

The Gunners finally managed to snap their three-game losing streak this past weekend with a draw at White Hart Lane. After scoring the opener, they were reduced to ten men as Francis Coquelin was shown a second yellow card. Tottenham Hotspur took the lead immediately his sending off, but a late Alexis Sanchez strike made sure that Arsenal didn’t fall to their fourth consecutive defeat this season.

Their manager Arsene Wenger has been facing criticism from the media and fans alike for Arsenal’s poor form. Ahead of their FA Cup tie against Hull City, Wenger addressed the issue head-on.

“I have no problem to cope with everything but I find that a bit boring in the end,” said the Frenchman of the criticism directed at him, according to fourfourtwo.com.

“After that as well there is no coincidence that the people who own the club tell me to be here for 19 years. Do you think they are more stupid than you or me?

“I do not worry what you say about me or what fans say about me. I try to do my job in a proper way and with full commitment.”

The FA Cup treble for Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has led the Gunners to two successive FA Cup trophies in the past two seasons. This season, Arsenal are very likely to be knocked out of the Champions League by an imperious Barcelona, who have a two-goal advantage going into the second leg at the Nou Camp. In the Premier League, their title challenge has been knocked back after defeats against Manchester United and Swansea City, leaving them eight points adrift of Leicester City.

Once again, the FA Cup is looking like the best hope for Arsenal to claim any silverware this season. If they manage to retain their title, they would become only the third club in English football history to lift the FA Cup three seasons in a row.
