A 42nd minute goal from Indian International Robin Singh handed Delhi Dynamos a 1-0 win over FC Goa in the home leg of the two legged semifinals at the JawharLal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.

Singh got ahead of his marker (Lucio) and headed in from close range after wonderful work on the right hand flank by Gustavo Dos Santos. Expressing his delight on having scored the goal despite being under criticism for not scoring enough goals in the national team shirt in recent times, Robin said

.

To begin with my goals come from the quality in my team. I work hard to get at the right place on the right time but all the goals I have scored have been supplied to me by my team-mates. I want to thank my teammates. Secondly I have never paid heed to what critics have said and I never will. My job is to work had and not answer the critics.

On being quizzed on how special it was to outfox Brazilian legend Lucio and score, the Bengaluru FC striker said

Defenders are trying to stop me in all the matches but this is special as I scored against Lucio. I wish him luck for the second game.

Like Carlos, Robin Singh too stressed on the need of enjoying the win before planning for the next match against FC Goa. He rounded off by saying

I will try to score one in Goa as well but for the moment we want to enjoy this win. We will work on our mistakes and try to be a better team before the next match

Delhi Dynamos now travel to Goa to face the Gaurs in the reverse leg on 15th and will be hoping to put in another impressive performance in a bid to qualify for the finals which be played in Goa on the 20th of this month.
