In an otherwise gloomy holiday season for The Gunners, Manager Arsene Wenger has come out with some good news for Arsenal FC fans to bring in some good spirits before Christmas.
In a bit of good news for Arsenal fans, Arsene Wenger has stated that though Alexis Sanchez will not feature in Sunday’s game against Aston Villa, the injury is only short term and he will be back to match fitness soon.
“We only got back on Thursday so we will see the players today but we had no injuries after the game,a Wenger said, according to goal.com.
“The short term injuries a nobody will be available for Sunday. No [Mikel] Arteta, no Sanchez and the others will be after Christmas.”
This is a bit of positive news for Arsenal after they were ravaged by an injury crisis that saw the likes of Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez, Mikel Arteta and Francis Coquelin added to the ever growing Gunners injury list.

Big transfer window for Arsenal
The January transfer window may play a key part in the Gunners season as they will look to buy some players who can help them deal with this injury crisis that has threatened to derail their title challenge. One such player is Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.
