The city of Paris is still mourning the victims who died in the Paris attacks earlier this month and its premier club Paris Saint Germain will wear special kits in remembrance of the victims in their next two matches.

The attacks that occurred on Friday October 13 killed at least 129 people with different suicide bombers opening fire at different points in the city before detonating the bombs.

In a mark of remembrance for the victims of these attacks, the team will sport jerseys in which the words “Je suis Paris“, which translates to I Stand With Paris, will be written in the area where the kit sponsors “Fly Emirates” is generally sported.

“In tribute to the victims of November 13 attacks, the Paris Saint-Germain players will wear a special jersey which only bears the message ‘JE SUIS PARIS‘, and nothing else for their next two matches: against Malm in the Champions League on Wednesday night and again, on Saturday in their Ligue 1 home match against Troyes,” announced the club on its official website.

PSG will also pay a special tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks in their home match against Troyes, in the weekend.

.

“Next Saturday, for the first home match at Parc des Princes since the dramatic events, Paris Saint-Germain will honour the victims with a message in unison with the vibrant solidarity expressed by the French and International football community during the past days,” announced PSG.

PSG on course for Champions League Round of 16

The Parisian club are not too far from qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League, as they travel to Malmo. A win in this away match would ensure them a place in the next round, with one match still in hand.

They have also amassed a massive 13-point lead in the Ligue 1 in France and would be looking to win an unprecedented fourth season in a row.
