As Liverpool FC slumped to their first defeat under Jurgen Klopp’s reign, the German cleverly turned around a phrase from the famous club anthem ‘You’ll never walk alone’.

Only difference is that Klopp said that he did indeed feel “alone” after he saw some fans leaving before the final whistle.

The Liverpool FC fans on Twitter did not take this well however, criticising their fellow Reds supporters who supposedly abandoned their team in the dying minutes of the match. Here are some reactions from the Liverpool FC Twitterati.

You call yourself a @LFC supporter when you can’t even get behind the team for 90 minutes? Absolute disgrace. #YNWA #KloppLFC #LIVCRY

Klopp felt alone after fans started walking out. That’s not in the spirit of YNWA. @LFC #LIVCRY a Affryll Teo (@affryll) November 9, 2015

Liverpool fans leaving after the second Palace goal. It must be hard for Klopp to see that I mean they ain’t no Dortmund fans tbh. #LIVCRY

Such a pity to see fans leaving early. That’s not who we are. We are red not blue… @LFC #LIVCRY #ynwa a We are Liverpool (@jonathanbentel) November 9, 2015

One Liverpool FC fan however, seemed to be pretty happy that he did not watch the game.

Thank God I didn’t watch that game at 3am. I would’ve been dead #LIVCRY

There were other fans also, who mocked the Klopp, defender Lovren and even Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard for this loss.

Klopp going flop. #LIVCRY #YNWA ?Y? Y? a PendekarTarbus (@Hanif_Azni) November 8, 2015

No wonder Palace won, Lovern came on. The A?20m man ?Y? Y #LIVCRY #MOTD

“@premierleague: A familiar face is back at Anfield… #LIVCRY . pic.twitter.com/eBNFsiuj6v” this is why liverpool lost last night. Hhaha

Some even hoped that this loss would help the Merseyside club do better in the league.

Hope the lost will put all the media hype and over expectations away.. And klopp can work in peace #LFC #LIVCRY a Madet (@Madet9) November 8, 2015
