After Missing The Mark At Manchester United And Chelsea, Falcao Is Linked With A Move To Russia

After disappointing spells at Manchester United and Chelsea, Radamel Falcao has now been linked with a move to Russia, as the Columbian looks to revive his failing career.

Zenit St Petersburg have shown interest in signing Falcao on loan in January, as the 29-year-old striker lives in the shadow of Diego Costa at Chelsea.

According to the Telegraph, Andre Villas Boas wanted to sign Falcao in the summer, but the deal did not work out then. It could happen this January, as Villas Boas shares a great relationship with Falcao. A move to Zenit will mean reuniting with former teammate Hulk, with whom Falcao formed a formidable partnership. The two scored 78 goals between them at FC Porto.

Zenit are third in the Russian league at the moment, and are the only team to have a 100% winning record in the Champions League.

.

Three years ago, Radamel Falcao was in the form of his life, banging in goals week in and week out for Atletico Madrid. Nobody expected the striker’s career to go haywire in the way that it has, but injuries can spell death for sporting careers. However, there could be one final chance for Falcao to rejuvenate himself, considering he is still 29 years old. A move to Russia could be a blessing in disguise indeed.
