Wenger Blames Ramsey Injury On Wales’ Euro Qualifier Against Andorra

Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger blames Aaron Ramsey’s injury on Wales’ Euro qualifier against Andorra, insisting that playing for his country has cost Ramsey the injury.

Aaron Ramsey pulled up in the 56th minute in Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Bayern Munich in the Champions league on Tuesday. The Welshman featured against Watford on 17th Oct, after having played in Wales’ Euro qualifier on the 13th, and Wenger believes that for a player who’s career has been stricken with injuries, playing three games in ten days is not advisable.

“The fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost Gareth Bale and him [Ramsey] as well,” Wenger said.

Ramsey could be out of action until November, and this would be a big blow for Arsenal as they encounter a series of important fixtures.

“He had a scan today but he’s out. I believe he will be out until after the next international break,” Wenger added.

Aaron Ramsey’s career has been blighted by injuries, with the 24-year old being sidelined on three separate ocassions last season. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the Arsenal squad, but he could turn into one of those players who never come of age, if he does not manage to keep himself fit.
