Liverpool FC are set to announce charismatic German Jurgen Klopp as their new manager on Thursday on a three year contract, as per reports in the BBC.
Klopp is expected to be unveiled as the new Reds manager today, after the Merseyside outfit successfully concluded their negotiation with the former Borussia Dortmund manager.
Klopp’s appointment comes four days after manager Brendan Rodgers was sacked following a disappointing start to the new season that saw Liverpool winning only three off their eleven games and playing quite poorly against sides like Carlisle and FC Sion.

Rodgers did survive the turbulent 2014-15 season, but, the poor start to the new season meant Liverpool’s owners – the Fenway Sports Group – could not afford to give him more time. The owners described their decision to sack Rodgers with the following statement of the official Liverpool FC website:
a Although this has been a difficult decision, we believe it provides us with the best opportunity for success on the pitch. Ambition and winning are at the heart of what we want to bring to Liverpool and we believe this change gives us the best opportunity to deliver it.”
The appointment of two time Bundesliga winning manager and one time UEFA Champions League finalist does represent a significant coup for the owners, who will be hoping that the German can take the club to the top four position, something they believe the squad is capable of.
Klopp is looking to bring in his assistants from Dortmund as per reports from Andy Hunter in the Guardian, with talks in advanced stages for that, too.
However, it remains to be seen what will happen to newly appointed Liverpool assistant manager Sean O’Driscoll and first-team coach Gary McAllister.
