The effect of Manchester Uniteda s loss against Arsenal was felt inside the Spanish national camp, as players bantered between themselves.

Banter is a term irrevocably linked with defeat in football against rivals. Arsenala s 3-0 hammering of Manchester United means the Red Devils have to endure the banter for the upcoming few weeks. The timely intervention in the form of the international break meant both the players and fans had some respite from media scrutiny.

The fans got to hide under the news of Liverpool sacking their manager Brendan Rodgers, which has been one of the major talking points ahead of the international fixtures.

However, Manchester Uniteda s number 8, Juan Mata, seems to be one of those unfortunate people who hasna t been able to catch a break.

.

Mata, who has been selected for Spaina s ultimate Euro 2016 qualifiers, is being accompanied by Arsenal FCa s Santi Cazorla in the national camp.

Mata revealed that Carzola isna t going to let the topic of last weekenda s result die easily.

a Ia ve been eating at the same table as Santi Cazorla and he keeps reminding me that Arsenal beat us 3-0 at the weekend,a Mata told the Spanish radio station CADENA SER(via Goal).

a Santi is a crack,” he added.

Arsenal FC defeated Manchester United thanks to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sancheza s brace in the opening twenty minutes of the game.
