Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has urged his team mates to beat Liverpool FC to underline their title credentials as the Gunners prepare to face off the Reds later today in the evening.

Arsenal have had an indifferent start to the new Premier League season, losing their opening game against West Ham. The Gunners recovered to beat Crystal Palace in an unconvincing display that saw them edge the tie 2-1 courtesy of a Delaney own goal.

Liverpool FC on the other hand, head to the Emirates on the back of two consecutive wins in the Premier League.

Ozil reckons Arsenal know how to beat Liverpool

Ozil believes Monday night provides another opportunity for the Gunners to show just what they are capable of, having beaten the Reds 4-1 in the fixture last season where he scored a stunning 25-yard freekick.

He was by Sky Sports as saying: a I remember that we delivered a really convincing display. In the first half we decided the game because we had a high level of concentration and wanted to utilise our potential. We want to do that again this time.

a We are at home and we know exactly how we can beat Liverpool; that is what we want to do on Monday.

.

a We were highly concentrated. The manager gave us tasks on the pitch and we executed them perfectly. Thata s what we will have to do on Monday again.

a We have to believe in ourselves as we have the potential to beat every team and we will show that on Monday.a

Wenger impressed by Ozil form

Ozil delivered a fantastic performance at Selhurst Park last Sunday in Gunners 2-1 win, where he finished the game with an outstanding 98% pass accuracy and also set up Olivier Giroud for the opening goal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been impressed by the progression of the World Cup winner and was quoted by Sky Sports, saying: a Mesut is now completely committed to the club. Maybe in the first year he didna t know a lot about it. He came from Real Madrid and he didna t know how long and whether it would work for him, whether he would enjoy it or not,a Wenger said.

a I believe now he is completely on board, committed and focused on the results of the club.a
