Arsenal FC forward Theo Walcott has posted a picture reflecting the influence of club legend Thierry Henry on his Arsenal career since joining the club in January 2006, on his official Instagram account.
Theo Walcott shared a picture of him posing with Thierry Henry when he signed from Southampton at the tender age of 16 and next to it, a new picture of the pair taken earlier this week.
‘Me & @thierryhenry – when I signed in 2006 & this week,’ Walcott wrote as a caption. ‘It seems Thierry hasn’t aged at all!! #FlashBackFriday #Arsenal14.’
Henry is currently with the club, looking to gain his coaching badges.
While earlier in July, Theo Walcott committed his future to Arsenal by signing a new four-year contract at the club.
Walcott has made 204 appearances and has scored 76 goals for Arsenal FC and the winger has made his desire to play as a forward many times in the past.
Henry has made no secret of his admiration for the 26-year-old’s abilities and believes Walcott will succeed if he is deployed as a striker for Arsenal.
