Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez are available for this weekend’s trip to Crystal Palace.

The Gunners travel to Selhurst Park on Sunday to take on Crystal Palace following their disappointing opening day defeat to West Ham at home. Alexis Sanchez who returned to training only last week was brought on in the tie against West Ham with Arsenal FC trailing 2-0. However, the Chilean could not affect the outcome of the last game, the North London club would be looking to their star forward in a bid to get the team back to winning ways.

Speaking in a press conference, as quoted by the club’s official website, Wenger said:

“Alexis Sanchez is fit, hea s been working hard and is ready for the weekend.”

Welbeck close to return but not yet available

Arsene Wenger also gave updates on the fitness of other players including Hector Bellerin, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck.

Bellerin missed Arsenal FC’s season opener with a muscle strain but will be available for this weekend. The 21-year-old had a breakthrough last season and has been successful in moving ahead of French international Mathieu Debuchy in the pecking order. Wenger also threw light on the fitness of Danny Welbeck, who has been out of action for sometime with a knee injury.

“Hector Bellerin is back and is available for Sunday. Danny Welbeck is making good progress, but is still not available.”

Wilshere could return within three weeks

Injury prone midfielder Jack Wilshere had been sidelined for several weeks as per reports, after sustaining a hairline crack in his left fibula. However, Wenger revealed that the English international had been sidelined for an initial four weeks and is currently in the second week of his recovery.

“We said Jack would be out for four weeks, and hea s in the second week now so hea s on schedule,” Wenger added.

.

Arsenal FC’s injury list seems to be growing by the day with veteran midfielder Tomas Rosicky ruled out for a couple of months. The Czech international has had surgery on his knee and the exact duration of his absence is not yet known.

“Tomas has had surgery on his knee. His agent said he will be out for one or two months, but it will be longer. How long exactly, we dona t know yet.”
