Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers in the new book “Living On The Volcano”, has revealed that the last four years have been the most traumatic of his life.
The book Living On The Volcano has been written by Michael Calvin and the Northern Irishman has been seen discussing the trials and tribunals of being a manager of a club of the stature of Liverpool FC and also his personal heartaches.
The 42-year-old has endured a difficult time in the last four years during which he has lost both his parents. The Liverpool FC manager has also split with his wife with whom he had been in a relationship for the past 23 years. Rodgers’ son Anton had also been charged with sexual assault, for which he was later acquitted.

a Ia ve been through probably the most traumatic four years of my life.
a I lost my mum. I lost my dad. I split up from the woman I loved for 23 years. I had a court case, two Old Bailey trials over six weeks with my son who was charged with sexual assault, which was an absolute disgrace.
a Yet professionally, here and at Swansea, these have been the best four years of my life. Something has to come from within. You have to put the professional and personal to each side. Ita s about being happy of course, but the owners have paid me to do a job, so I will do the job.

The former Swansea City manager also cited the example of former Notts County manager Jimmy Sirrel, who turned up for coaching on Saturday having lost his wife the previous night.
