Arsenal FC goalkeeper David Ospina is determined to fight for his place in the side amidst interest from Everton.
The 26-year-old moved to Arsenal at the start of last season, after impressing in the World Cup with Colombia. Although he started his debut season on the bench, eventually he displaced Wojciech Szczesny and became the number one for Arsene Wenger. The former Nice goalkeeper ended up making 20 appearances in all competition and made a decent start to his Premier League career. But after just one season with the Gunners, Ospinaa s future has come under a lot of speculations this summer.
Arsenal signed Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer and the Czech international will be Wengera s first choice keeper next season. Reports suggest that it is Ospina who will make way for Cech, as the Colombian has been linked with a move away from the Emirates. Wenger still believes that Szczesny can fulfil his potential and will be helped by the guidance of Cech, which casts a doubt on Ospinaa s future at the club.

Ospina is expected to hold talks with Wenger regarding his plans for the future and he seemingly willing to fight for his place in the squad.
a I have always had to fight for the title position at all of my clubs. You expect a big club like Arsenal to improve the squad but you must always impress the manager in training.a a The Arsenal goalkeeper said.
Ospina produced a memorable performance against Argentina in the recently concluded Copa America and a lot of clubs are monitoring his situation at Arsenal. Initially Fenerbahce were linked with a move for him, but recent reports suggest that Everton have joined the race for his signature.
Roberto Martinez is reportedly keen on finding a long term replacement for 36-year-old Tim Howard. The American suffered few fitness concerns last season and they had to turn to Joel Robles. Ospina will be an improvement on the Spaniard and the Colombian international will prefer a move to a Premier League club, rather than a move to Turkey at this point of his career.
