Speaking ahead of Manchester United . a s pre-season tour, former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata commented that he was proud of being a part of the cluba s history, stating that it is not something that a you can buya .

The Spanish international who joined Manchester United under David Moyesa reign, claimed that Manchester United stands out in the English Premier League because of the trophies it has won while declaring his pride in being a part of the club.

“Manchester United is a special and unique club because of its history. No-one has won as many trophies as we have in the English league. That history is something that you cannot buy. I think this club has a lot of great history and I feel very proud to be part of it.”

The midfielder also thanked the fans for their support, claiming that the support the club received from over-seas fans was incredible.

“I think what’s surprised me most about the club is to feel that wherever you go, even when you go on holiday to a quiet place, you always find Man United supporters. Ita s something that you do not expect in some countries, yet we have them all around the world.a

Manchester United is due to visit the United States for its pre-season tour and Juan Mata commented that it was a unbelievablea to see that the club attracted more support than clubs like Real Madrid.
