Arsenal FC are readying a bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal have eyed Dortmund’s Aubameyang as a player they want to recruit this summer as Wenger looks to strengthen his squad to compete for the title next season.

Real Madrid have been rumored suitors for Aubameyang and now Arsenal are reportedly launching a bid for him to bolster their strikeforce.

The Gabon international has been linked with moves away from the German club this summer and it appears that Arsenal could a possible destination for the player.

Gundogan, Aubameyang, Ginter, Immobile have all been linked with moves away from Borussia Dortmund after Jurgen Klopp decided to leave the club.

.

Liverpool were also linked with the Gabon international briefly, but Arsenal look to be the only ones seriously in for the player at the moment.

German newspaper Bild report that Aubameyang is on top of Wenger’s summer wishlist as Wenger is an admirer of the player’s pace. The likes of Ozil and Sanchez sitting behind a striker as pacey as Aubameyang is very inviting for the manager who feels a frontline like that can guide them to silverware as well as a title challenge.

The Gunners, according to the report, are preparing a a 40m (A?29m) offer for Aubameyang. While Dortmund have maintained that they want to keep all their stars this summer, a sum like that will interest the German club who are said to be “considering” it.

The striker scored 25 goals in all competitions last season and if he can reproduce that form for the London club, Wenger might seriously have a shot at the title next season.
