Bayern Coach Pep Guardiola has been slapped with a UEFA charge after wearing a provocative T-shirt during his Champions League press conference.

The Bayern boss wore a t-shirt complete with the message #JusticiaParaTopo in relation to an Argentine journalist who died at the 2014 World Cup.

Argentine journalist Jorge Lopez, known as ‘Topo’, was killed under what many believe to be suspicious circumstances in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo in July in a road traffic accident during the World Cup in Brazil.

Lopez was travelling in a taxi when he was hit by a stolen car in what was reported as an accident.

Lopez was highly regarded for his work in Latin America with his death bringing widespread grief across the continent.

UEFA’s regulations prohibit the use of “sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature” and the governing body has charged Guardiola with being in breach of such regulations.

The Justice For Topo campaign wants an investigation into Topo Lopez’s death.

Messi, Diego Simeone and numerous others stars of the sport spoke out at the time over their grief for Lopez’s death.

Meanwhile, Porto boss Julen Lopetegui has also been charged for his conduct during Tuesday’s game.

The Spaniard was dismissed from the touchline in the 6-1 loss to Bayern, which resulted in a 7-4 aggregate defeat for the Portuguese side.

Both the cases will be dealt with by UEFA’s disciplinary body on 21st May,2015.
