The contract of FC Barcelona right-back Dani Alves is set to expire on 30th June and no progress has been made on the extension of the same. But the Brazilian international has dropped a big hint by saying that he is currently happy in the Catalan capital.
Reports coming from Spain have claimed it on a regular basis that Dani Alves is unhappy at FC Barcelona and he is keen to leave Blaugrana this summer. The Brazilian has been linked with a number of Europe’s elite clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Man City and Paris Saint-Germain in past few months.
But now, the player himself has come forward to clarify about his current situation at FC Barcelona and has claimed that his a heart is happya in the Catalan capital.
“My heart is happy where I am, with what I have and the colours I defend. It’s not up to me how long I’ll be here,a said Dani Alves. He was speaking to Globoesporte.
Dani Alves also said that he has not signed a contract with any other club yet.
“I’ll fulfil my part because I have the same desire I had when I came to FC Barcelona. I have no pre-contract with anyone.
“I’ve decided to live in the moment and the moment is now. There are three competitions this season. I want to end my contract with titles, so I finish with a good taste in my mouth. Whatever comes next, I’ll accept.”
There were some reports of a spat in the dressing room of Barcelona few months ago and Dani Alves accepted that there was a tension but nothing was serious enough.
“It’s inevitable,” Dani Alves said. “Life in the dressing room is worse than a family.
“We live more with our team-mates than our own family. With family, blood of your blood, you have problems. Imagine what it’s like in a locker room.
“These problems are inevitable. But they are problems because we are competitive and we want to win. When you want to win, you are doomed to suffer conflicts.
“The bad times help people savour the good times, so the problems eventually become something positive.”
