Real Madrid are currently struggling badly for form but their recent poor displays have sent a wake-up call to the board room of the club as the directors have already started making a plan for the upcoming summer transfer window. The player who is on top of Los Blancosa wish list is Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba.
Real Madrid are well equipped with left backs at the moment as they have two world class players in their squad, Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao. Marcelo is a regular starter for Real Madrid since long while Coentrao works as his back-up.
But, Fabio Coentrao is not at all happy with his current situation at the club and is certain to leave Real Madrid in the summer of 2015. The Los Blancos authorities are well aware of this fact and they want a world class replacement for the outgoing Portuguese international.
David Alaba is widely regarded as the best left back in Europe at the moment and he has made this position his own at Bayern Munich. Real Madrid scouts are keeping a watch on the progress of David Alaba since long and they want him to replace Fabio Coentrao this summer.
However, the task ahead of Real Madrid is not easy at all. David Alaba has just recently signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich. The said contract runs until June 2018 and Real Madrid will have to pay huge money if they want their man.
The Los Blancos authorities are well aware of this fact and they are prepared to pay a 40 millions to get David Alaba. Recent reports have claimed that the young left-back is not particularly happy with his progress at Bayern Munich and looking for a way out.
Real Madrid authorities have already met with the father of David Alaba, who is also his agent and they have got a positive signals from him.
Meanwhile, reports coming from Spain and Germany have also confirmed the interest of Real Madrid in David Alaba.
Marca has claimed today that a few days ago, George Alaba, the father and agent of David Alaba, Bayern Munich’s talented young left-back, held a meeting in Vienna with various Real Madrid representatives to discuss the possibility of his son signing for ‘Los Blancos’.
