Troubled Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has opened up about his relationship with manager Louis Van Gaal.

The two have been at loggerheads for quite a while now. Falcao was hailed as a a one of the best strikers in the worlda by Van Gaal in their first press conference together, but their relationship has been hot and cold since then.

A couple of injuries combined with a visible loss of form and confidence has also played its part, but ita s no secret that the Dutch coach has, at times, preferred fellow countryman Robin Van Persie.

Falcao, though, has remained calm and believes he can still make a difference this season and change the bossa mind.

“I am playing for Manchester United at the moment. I am completely focused on the club. I have faith and hope that lots of things can happen in the remaining games this season.

“Van Gaal has to make decisions like any other manager, regardless of whether it’s favourable for me or not.

“Every coach has a different way of managing a group. It’s a cultural thing, different ways of thinking, different philosophies – it’s normal. I get on naturally with him.”

The Colombian, who came in with a huge reputation at Old Trafford, has struggled to find any sort of consistency at the club.

Since arriving, Falcao has managed just four goals and isna t even a regular starter now. The 29-year-old is currently on loan from French club AS Monaco and will likely leave the club unless he finds both fitness and form very quickly.

“I need to find a place where I have continuity and I can play,” Falcao told Colombian television station Win Sports.

“When the season finishes, I will obviously sit down and analyse things and decide what is best for me.”

Falcao has been an expensive signing for United who are paying not only his A?265,000 a week salary but also paid Monaco A?6m to secure the Colombiana s services. To make his deal permanent, the club, who have a first buy option on the deal, will have to pay as much as A?43.5m.

The former Atletico Madrid and Porto striker however, isna t concerned as he believes that there are several clubs who want him.

“Calls are coming in every day so I need to stay calm. I stay out of it and let other people handle this situation.”
