Arsenal suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of AS Monaco in the second round of UEFA Champions League and they are almost certain of getting out at this stage of the competition. This exit is likely to have a negative impact on the earnings of the club but Arsene Wenger still enjoys the confidence of club management and it is learnt that he will get A?50m war chest for the summer transfer window.

Arsenal were struggling for form in the early stages of English Premier League but they seems to have recovered well in 2015 as they sit on the third spot and are confident of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Arsenal, regardless of their mid week Champions League result, are in a comfortable financial position. The club has cash reserves of more than 138 million pounds and has no major debts to their name.

This healthy financial situation mean that Arsene Wenger will have the money to spend in the transfer market.

As always, the season of Arsenal is marked by injuries to key players and Arsenal management wants to avoid the similar situation again in the future. And the areas which are earmarked by Arsene Wenger for re-enforcements are central midfield and defense.

Central area of the midfield has become a big headache for Arsene Wenger and the Frenchman is certain to splash the cash on new midfielder in the summer.

Southamptona s Morgan Schneiderlin is on top of Arsene Wengera s wish list and the player who could move out of the club is Mathieu Flamini. Arsenal are tracking Morgan Schneiderlin since long but they are certain to make a move for the player in July.

Arsenal spent more than 15 million pounds for the signature of Gabriel in January but it appears that the club still wants to add more depth to its leaky defence.

Arsene Wenger is tracking many defenders across Europe but he still has not made up his mind on his priority target.

Another area which is set to see the overhaul is that of goal keeping. Ospina has failed to convince Arsene Wenger about his ability so far and the Frenchman is eager to sign a new keeper in July.

Meanwhile, reports coming from London have also confirmed the plans of Arsenal for the summer transfer window.

The Daily Telegraph has claimed in its report that ArsA?ne Wenger will have a A?50 million transfer budget this summer and will prioritise signing a new central midfielder but will also closely review both the centre-back and goalkeeper positions.
