Arsenala s Arsene Wenger gave the team news ahead of the game against Leicester City.

Wenger confirmed that Alexis Sanchez was back in the squad and that there were no new injuries after the Tottenham game.

He said, a Alexis will be back in the group and we dona t have any injuries from Saturday. Everybody else looked fine yesterday.a

Wenger talked about how important Alexis Sanchez was to the Arsenal team. a Hea s our best goalscorer and one of our hardest-working players in the team. Physically I think we suffered a little bit on some occasions on Saturday and ita s good to have him back.a

The Arsenal manager also gave updates on the progress being made by Jack Wilshere. He said, a Hea s back in full training this week. I dona t know exactly [how long until he returns], we have to monitor him on a daily basis and see how he develops.a

Regarding other injured players like Mikel Arteta and Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wenger said, a They are still [a while] away. Oxlade-Chamberlain is about two weeks.a

Wenger would be hoping that his team learn from the defeat to Tottenham and get back to winning ways, considering that the top 4 race is the tightest it has been for some time. Starting from Manchester City in 2nd place to Liverpool in 7th place, therea s only a 10 point gap with 14 more games to go.

Arsenal need to ensure that they do not drop any more points, especially against teams like Leicester if they are to continue their minimum target of finishing in the top 4. In fact, if they play their cards right, they may even be able to finish second, considering City are not in the best of form at the moment. Howver, the focus will be on making sure they finish in Champions League places.

Alexis Sanchez will be an important player for them if that is to happen and Arsene Wenger should ensure that he is fit for as many games as possible. If that means he needs to be rotated every once in a while, then so be it. Of course, all the other Arsenal players need to pull their weight as well and support Sanchez the way Cazorla is doing at the moment. With the return of Welbeck, Giroud would get some rest as well, so that he can also be rested. On the whole, this is a balanced squad, and it would be a pity if they dona t achieve more than just a top 4 place.
