Real Madrid attacker Jese, who has just made a successful comeback from long term injury, has said that the club is ready to make a a big statementa by winning a crucial derby game against Atletico Madrid.

Jese was sidelined for several months due to a long term injury. But he is fully recovered now and made a statement of his intent by scoring against in-form Sevilla.

The win against Sevilla has put Real Madrid seven points ahead of Atletico Madrid in La Liga and a positive result again on Saturday will help Los Blancos secure a comfortable 10 points lead over their cross town rivals.

“This week’s games are very difficult and important. Against Sevilla on Wednesday we were made to work really hard and that’s normal,” Jese told the official Real Madrid website.

“On Saturday we have to send out a big statement by winning against Atletico Madrid. We’re really up for it and we’re going to go all out.

“There’s a long way to go in the league and we have our destiny in our own hands, but we have to win.”

“Carlo Ancelotti told me that I played well and to keep it up. Scoring always gives you more confidence, it’s a very important goal for me and I needed a goal to keep on improving. I’m very happy.a

Meanwhile, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti also has said that the club is ready to face eternal rivals Atletico Madrid.

a Our recent games against Atletico Madrid havena t been so good and the main thing is to change this run. Ita ll be a tough match and wea re thinking about changing things. The motivation isna t the 10 points, but the fact ita s a derby.a

Carlo Ancelotti also welcomed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo from injury.

a The balance of the side doesna t depend on one player, but the whole team and their intelligence on the pitch. The fact that Cristiano is coming back is good. Ita ll help us, though without him wea ve won two games.a
