Delhi Dynamos once again failed to impress fans and critics as they were victimized by Kerala Blasters 1-0. Although Delhi dominated the match and created opportunities, it was the visitors – Kerala Blasters who capitalised on theirs on bagged all three points. With this win Delhi struggle at the bottom of the Super League while Kerala Blasters enter the coveted semi-final berths.
After tasting a bitter defeat against FC Goa, Delhi Dynamos lined up in their usual 4-4-1-1. Alessandro del Piero returned back into the squad, while Mads Junker led the attacking line.

Meanwhile, Kerala Blaster lined up in a 4-3-3. The major surprise was the exclusion of inform Penn Orji. Sandesh Jhighna was experimented yet again on, as the young starlet was deployed in the right back position.

Delhi reeled with an injury to Anwar Ali’s defensive partner Wim Raymarkers, minutes before the first half and substituted him with Stijn Houben.
Seconds into the second half and the Dynamos were handed a brilliant opportunity to edge Kerala Blasters, as Sandesh Jhinghan denied the bombarding Alessandro del Piero.
Although a toothless Delhi attack created their own opportunities and chances , while failing to convert any of them, Kerala Blasters equally tested the tall figure of van Hout.
Kerala Blasters declared their intention to grab all three points by force, as Romey made way of Penn Orji. Minutes into his substitution, Orji proved once again his pedigree and worth, as the Nigerian scored Kerala’s opening goal.
A driven cross by Iain Hume into the 18 yard box which was met by the bombarding Nigerian, resulted in deceiving van Hout, whilst giving Kerala a narrow lead.
Although Delhi Dynamos created plenty of opportunities to equalise their deficit, they missed the cutting edge in-front of goal.
Kerala Blasters meanwhile mounted their own attack to cement all three points, as the Yellow brigade constantly testd van Hout’s credentials.Van Hout saved Delhi’s blushes again as the 6ft 10inch keeper kept out a header from Cedric Hengbart in the 86th minute.
The match ended 1-0 in favor of Kerala Blasters as they tipped the hosts with a brilliant Penn Orji goal.
