Liverpool are set to revive their interest in Udinese’s Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, according to Italian media agency Sport Mediaset.
The 23 year old was linked with a move to Anfield in the last January window, but a bid failed to materialize.
It has now been brought to the fore that the Reds are ready to rekindle their interest and will make another attempt this January as they look to sort out problems in the midfield.
In January, negotiations were ongoing between Liverpool and Udinese according to Sky Italia as Tancredi Palmeri,Ai??BeIn Sportsai??i?? Italian corresponded tweeted:

Badu, near the time, had also spoken about a possible move to Liverpool andAi??Ai??himselfAi??saidAi??that he wouldn’t turn down the chance to sign for the Premier League giants, despite being settled in Italy:

Liverpool definitely need the addition of a strong defensive midfielder. Steven Gerrard is being used in the position and the captain does not do a good enough job in the spot. Even if Gerrard is continued to play in the spot for the remainder of the season, the Reds still need someone strong to cover the spot as they compete in four competitions at the moment. Not to mention, Gerrard will probably hang up his boots in a season or two. Lucas Leiva is badly marginalized and Emre Can is turning out more box to box than defensive.
23 year old Badu has constantly been improving at Udinese and has proven to be a key player for the Serie A club protecting their defence in his midfield role.Ai??At Udinese, he has become renowned for his pace and strength, and also his ability to break up attacks and launch counter attacks.
