Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are keen to sign Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco, with an option to make it permanent next season.
After selling Alvaro Morata to Juventus, Real Madrid are in the market for a new striker and Spanish media reports that they are keen on signing Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco with an option to buy out his remaining contract next season.
Radamel Falcao joined Monaco after enjoying two wonderful seasons with Atletico Madrid. But even before he could properly settle in the team, Falcao suffered a terrible knee injury. The former Porto striker made only 16 starts in the league for Monaco, scoring nine goals in the process, as he missed the second half of the season.
Falcao also missed the flight to Brazil with the Colombia national team as he failed to regain fitness before the start of the World Cup. The 28-year-old has however recovered fully now and is set to return to the action in the season opener for Monaco. But reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are keen to sign him on loan.
The Spanish side have already signed Colombian World cup star James Rodriguez from Monaco in a massive deal earlier this month and are now keen to reunite him with Falcao at Santiago BernabAi??u next season.
Real Madrid have had a massive interest in Falcao since his Atletico Madrid days, before he surprisingly joined Monaco last summer. It is believed that Falcaoai??i??s recent injury concern has brought down his market price and Real Madrid want to test him out for a season before making the move permanent.
