Manchester United and Barcelona transfer target Koke has dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
The Spanish international experienced his most productive season for Atletico since he was promoted to the first team squad in 2009. Koke scored six goals and provided 13 assists in 33 starts in the league as Diego Simeoneai??i??s men went on to claim the La Liga title. His wonderful performances and versatility to play in nearly every position in the midfield has not only earned him a place in the 23-man World Cup squad of Spain, but also interest from a host of European clubs.
Manchester United and Barcelona have been monitoring his progress at the Spanish capital and are reportedly lining up a move for the 22-year-old midfielder. Both these clubs are expected to undergo numerous changes in the summer transfer window and Koke is high on their wish list. Manchester United are looking to add more depth to the midfield and Kokeai??i??s versatility makes him a good prospect, Barcelona on the other hand are looking for a replacement of Cesc Fabregas, who has joined Chelsea.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder has however dismissed these reports, insisting that he is committed to the cause of the Spanish club and will honour his contract, which runs till 2018.
“My future is with Atletico. I am happy in my club and now I have a deal and do not think about an exit.” ai??i?? Koke said in an interview.
Despite these rumours, Koke is focused on the World Cup and is enjoying his learning experience in the Spanish camp.
“Really my head is only focused on the work for Spain in Brazil 2014. My dream is to win this title with minutes in the game, although that depends on the coach.
