Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller has refused to rule out a move to Catalan giants FC Barcelona.
Thomas Muller has seen meteoric rise in his stature since making his debut for the Bayern Munich first team in 2008. Muller at the age of 24 has already made over 200 appearances for the German side and was a key member of the historic treble winning Bayern side under Jupp Heynckes. He is widely considered as one of the best goal scoring midfielders in the world currently, who is a wonderful exploiter of space and is versatile enough to play across a lot of position. Under Pep Guardiola, Muller has also played as a false 9 upfront, along with his usual role out wide on the right, and has already scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 23 Bundesliga and Champions League starts.
Mullerai??i??s current contract with the German side runs till 2017, yet he has already attracted a lot of interest from clubs across Europe. Real Madrid were monitoring him in the January transfer window, but Uli HoenessAi??dismissed those reports stating Bayern Munich will not sell their star players at any cost. Recent rumours have also linked him with a move to Barcelona and the Catalan club are reportedly lining up a big bid for the German international in the summer. Bayern of course are in financially strong enough to virtually turn down any kind of offer, if they want to, and Thomas Muller has also stated his happiness at the club. But the midfielder has refused to commit his long term future at the club and rule out a future move to Barcelona, or any other club, stating that anything is possible in football.
