Sporting Lisbon Midfielder William Carvalho hints at possible move to Manchester United or Real Madrid at the end of this season.
William Carvalho has attracted a lot of attention in the past few months following some impressive performances with Club Brugge and now with Sporting Lisbon. The 21-year-old, who made his debut for Portugal senior team last year, has been regularly scouted by the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Carvalhoai??i??s current contract with Sporting runs till 2018 and the Portuguese club are already desperate to extend his current deal. They are expecting a lot of offers for the midfielder in the summer and a new contract will increase his market price.
Manchester United are expected to spend a lot in the upcoming summer transfer window with David Moyes being backed by the owners to completely overhaul the current United squad. The former Everton manager has supposedly marked out Carvalho as a potential target as he looks to add more depth and quality to the midfield. But United will face competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea, while recent reports suggest that Manchester City are also scouting the Portuguese international. Sporting are unlikely to part ways with their prized asset for anything less that ai??i??15 million, although they will demand more if they succeed to extend his current contract before the end of this season.
Meanwhile, Carvalho has expressed his delight at being linked with such big clubs and has hinted at a possible move to Manchester United or Real Madrid at the end of this season.
“It’s nice being praised and to know there are some big clubs interested in me.”
“It could be Manchester United or Real Madrid. It’s just nice to have a great European club after me, but at the moment I’m just totally focused on Sporting and doing my best until the end of the season.
“At the end of the campaign, we will see what happens.” ai??i?? Carvalho told the press after Sporting Lisbonai??i??s match against Braga.
