Manchester United manager David Moyes has rubbished claims that the presence of Sir Alex Ferguson has been a hindrance for him.
Manchester United suffered their third defeat in a row in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against lowly Sunderland ai??i?? something which hasnai??i??t happened since 2001. This has put David Moyes under immense pressure as fans are growing impatient following the sideai??i??s insipid performances in recent matches. While injuries to a lot of key players hasnai??i??t helped the cause, questions marks has been raised about Moyesai??i?? ability to deal with the kind of pressure that comes with the job of managing a club like Manchester United.
As Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton watched Unitedai??i??s defeat from the stands against Sunderland ai??i?? and were visibly left disappointed- questions has also been raised in some quarters whether the presence of someone like Sir Alex is affecting Moyes and whether the former Everton manager is struggling to get out of his shadows. But David Moyes rubbished those claims as has insisted that the presence of the likes of Sir Alex, Bryan Robson and Sir Bobby has only helped him in his day to day activities.

“I have always been happy with how they players have been responding. I thought they were good tonight, apart from the opening 15 minutes.
“It’s always going to be a tough game. It’s only the first part of the game, so we have got a bit more to do in the second leg.
“This hasn’t happened at Manchester United for a long time. I thought the support was great. They are sticking with the club, sticking with the manager and that’s exactly what you need when you are not doing so well.” ai??i?? Moyes added.
