League leaders Arsenal FC were making hard work of a match against relegation battling Newcastle United, but somehow managed to overcome them with a 72nd minute tap-in by defender Laurent Koscielny.
The French duo of Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny came to the rescue for the gunners as they tried to grind out a result against a resilient Newcastle United side who put in a good showing despite being on the losing end. Giroud won two headers after a Mesut Ozil corner to keep the ball alive in the Newcastle penalty area before the ball fell at the feet of Koscielny who snuck one in from the far post.
