Real Madrid Transfer News: Los Blancos To Replace Cristiano Ronaldo With Tottenham Hotspur Striker Harry Kane?

With Real Madrid seemingly staring at a star-studded exodus out of the Santiago Bernabeu some time in the future, the club are now reportedly trying to sign the hottest young prospect from England — Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

After an initial hiccup at the start of the season, Kane has shown that he is not a one-season-wonder by scoring 11 goals in the Premier League so far. This seems to have caught the interest of Real Madrid, as . Los Blancos are looking at an overhaul of their star-studded squad, according to The Telegraph.

Kane contract talks

The England international currently earns around A?45,000 a week, which is believed to be much less an amount for a striker of his quality. Kane’s current contract lasts for another four and a half years, but Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is set to have contract talks with Kane at the end of the season.

However, with Real Madrid being rumoured to be in the mix to sign the 22-year-old, Kane could expect a much bigger paycheque at Tottenham Hotspur, who currently do not play in the Champions League.

Real Madrid have edge over English giants

Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid have had a few big transfer dealings of late and relations between the two clubs seem to be good at the moment. In fact, Spurs seem to favour selling their best players to Real Madrid, instead of letting them go to one of their wealthier Premier League opponents.

Harry Kane is valued at around A?19 million on Transfermarkt, but is expected to cost Los Blancos much more than that. CIES Football Observatory, a Swiss firm whose evaluation of players is taken quite seriously by many top clubs, rates Kane at around A?68 million, which is more than three times his market value.

Thus, Real Madrid would have to look quite deep in their long pockets to land Kane, which means that this would probably not be a winter move.
