Chelsea FC superstar Eden Hazard has not given up hope on lifting silverware with the Blues this season come May, although the Premier League champions will not be able to defend their title, or indeed their Capital One Cup trophy
The last time Chelsea FC finished in the bottom half of the table was 1995-96, and with the Blues currently in 16th place and not showing signs of a drastic turnaround, a first bottom-half finish in the Roman era is not inconceivable.
Despite their nightmare season, however, Blues’ attacker Eden Hazard has insisted that they can still win two trophies in the remaining months of the campaign. The Belgian has had a season to forget on a personal level as well, failing to score a single goal in the entire first half of the 15-16 Premier League season.
Blues could still win two trophies, says Hazard
The Player of the Year in 2014-2015 has been one of the biggest disappointments this season, and despite a recent upturn in form, Hazard has been unable to get his name on the scoresheet. The Blues, for their part, have put together a run of three Premier League games without a defeat for the first time this season, but still find themselves in 16th place, and with a lot of climbing to do to get to a respectable position in the table.
However, Hazard has not yet given up hopes of securing either the F.A. Cup or the UEFA Champions League trophies. In an interview with the chelseafc.com, the 24-year-old was quoted as saying: “We are in a good way right now, we just need to start winning more games to bring the confidence back and create more positivity.
“If the second half of the season goes well we can win two trophies so we just want to take it game by game, we dona t want to look too far into the future. Ita s just about winning as many matches as possible.”

F.A. Cup win would be huge for Chelsea FC
In a season that has given Chelsea FC fans little to cheer about, a trophy in May would be hugely important for the club, the players and the supporters. Given how the Blues have played thus far, and considering the level of the top teams in Europe — including their Round of 16 opponents PSG — it seems unlikely that the Champions League will bring the Stamford Bridge outfit much joy.
The F.A. Cup, however, is a realistic target for interim manager Guus Hiddink and his players, with the Dutchman leading the club to the famous trophy in his first spell with the Blues in 2009. On their day, Chelsea FC are a match for any of the sides in England, and Hiddink must prioritise the competition over every other.
