Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has said that he hopes to have a more consistent spell in the side next season. The summer arrival from Southampton has had a stop-start season so far, and has managed 30 appearances in the side, seven of those coming from the bench.

The 26 year-old has four goals and three assists in the league, from 24 appearances in the campaign. This doesn’t look justified product from the player that cost the Reds around 25m GBP in the summer, but when one sees that the Reds have only scored 49 goals in the league this season, Lallana’s personal figures are put more in perspective.

“There’s definitely more for me to give next season,” he added. “I’ll be looking to be out on the pitch more consistently because it’s been difficult for me to get 100 per cent into my rhythm this year, from being on the pitch and then off it.”

dafabetsports(dot)comLallana scored nine goals and grabbed five assists in the league last season, which earned him several plaudits and a World Cup call-up for England. The former Saints captain would be eager to get that form back.

Victory over QPR brought a disappointing run of results for the Reds to a close and maintained their position at fifth place in the league table and Lallana commented on the result, “We keep going to the end – that’s the character of the lads. QPR made it difficult for us today – they probably made it quite scrappy the way they play, which is quite direct, up to the front. We could have been better in spells and moved the ball a bit quicker, but we’re delighted to get the three points – that’s all that counts.”
