Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, has asserted that Yaya Toure is happy at Manchester City. Yaya Toure, was highly linked with a move away from Manchester City, following his treatment at Manchester City, which the Ivorian claims to be ‘disrespectful’. However, after igniting rumors of a speculated move, all seems to be merry at Manchester City’s camp and both Yaya Toure and Manuel Pellegrini, seems to have made their peace with each other.
When asked about his future, Yaya Toure said, “a I don’t know, I’m at City at the moment,” before laughing it off.
However, Manuel Pellegrini asserts that he is not all concerned with Yaya Toure’s nature.
a I think Yaya is 100 per cent committed with our team and with this team,a said the Manchester City boss. a I don’t have any doubts about that.
a I don’t think any of us know what will happen in six months more. We don’t know where you can be, we cannot know what will happen in the future.
“But it’s not a problem with his commitment, you can’t link one thing with the other. I repeat, Yaya is very happy here. His commitment with our club is not a problem.”
Yaya Toure, has clearly been a driving force for Manchester City and steered the Sky Blues, out of danger. Yaya Toure, is currently participating in the Africa Cup Of Nations and the imposing Ivorian could miss another four weeks of Premier League action. Without the services of Yaya Toure, Manchester City have not won a single Premier League since last April.
Pellegrini, agreed that Manchester City will miss the imposing Yaya Toure.
a Of course we are going to miss Yaya because he is a very important player – in the same way that we miss Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, David Silva, or all the players that for different reasons cannot play every week.
“But we have a squad and we have to replace Yaya.
a We must continue fighting for the title with or without Yaya. We have to play two more games without Yaya and he will arrive here in February. I don’t think our team depends just on one player.”
Manchester City entertain Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium and the Sky Blues will be hoping to grab all three points and be in touching distance of league leaders, Chelsea. Manchester City, were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton last time around and it was clear that the Pellegrini masterminded side missed the robust approach of Yaya Toure, in midfield.
