Speaking ahead of Real Madrida s match against Malaga, manager Carlo Ancelotti admitted that the club might look for a better goal-keeper than Iker Casillas as reports suggest that Real Madrid are closely tracking Manchester Uniteda s David De Gea.

Backing Iker Casillas to prove his critics wrong, Carlo Ancelotti admitted that the goal-keeper does not have a permanent place in the squad and will make way if a better goal-keeper were to come along.

“If he (Iker Casillas) wasn’t in good form he would not play. He is used to that and knows what he is going to do with his future. He will finish his career here and if a better goalkeeper comes he will not start. That might happen.”

According to other reports, David De Gea and Real Madrid have already come to an arrangement and Madrid will now to negotiate with Manchester United over the player. With his contract coming to an end next summer, Real Madrid are likely to have the upper hand in the negotiations if David De Gea gives the club the green signal.

Speaking before the match against Malaga, Carlo Ancelotti also spoke about Jese who was reportedly angry at being brought on for only 30 seconds.

“He was angry [when he joined the game with 30 seconds to go], and that’s normal, I got angry when I played as well. I’m here for Real Madrid, not for Jes , Casillas or whoever. I believe those 30 seconds were important to win the game, we can make 3 substitutions and those can be made to change someone who is not playing well, to change the system or to wrap the game up.”

It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid indeed land up signing Iker Casillasa s apparent heir but for now, Real Madrid would be concentrating on piling the pressure on Barcelona in the race for the La Liga.
